The Hopewell Valley Arts Council invites artists, artisans, and pumpkin enthusiasts to apply to carve a pumpkin for the third annual Amazing Pumpkin Carve. Carving day is Wednesday, October 11, 2017.
The 2017 Carve will feature 50 giant pumpkins—carved by the applicants selected from this pool—in a fun, walk-through, family-oriented attraction.
This year the Amazing Pumpkin Carve is moving to Woolsey Park in Hopewell Township, 221 Washington Crossing-Pennington Road, Titusville, NJ 08560 (next to the Hopewell Township Public Works complex).
Artist Eligibility and Carver Selection
The opportunity to carve a pumpkin at The Amazing Pumpkin Carve is open to all artists from the acclaimed to the amateur, from sculptor to culinary artist.
The success of the exhibition depends upon the creativity and workmanship of the pumpkins on display. Carvers will be selected by the Hopewell Valley Arts Council from the carver applications received by the application deadline of September 17, 2017, based upon their proven artistic skill and craftsmanship in some aspect of the arts, or through photos submitted with their application, demonstrating their pumpkin carving or other relevant skills.
Apply to become a Carver soon! This is a limited opportunity.
Fifty pumpkin carvers will be selected by the Hopewell Valley Arts Council from those received. To apply, please fill out this online application form. There are only a few carving openings remaining, so contact us ASAP. Selection notification will be via email by September 20, 2017.
Please read the Pumpkin Carve Rules and Event Details before applying to become a pumpkin carver.
