ArtSpires is the newest community art project and exhibition by the Hopewell Valley Arts Council with sculptures on display through spring 2021.
The project and exhibition commemorates the loss of native ash trees from the harmful effects of the emerald ash borer beetle as part of the organization’s ongoing initiative Out of the Ashes: Art Emerging from Fallen Trees. ArtSpires are milled from American ash wood felled by Hopewell Township and transformed into art.

We seem to select public art projects that are large and heavy – first the Stampede oxen – and now fallen ash trees!
