Plan Your Tour Visit for 2025

The 2024 Tour is over. Despite the rain, this year’s Tour was bigger and better than ever.  Many thanks to our participating artists for sharing their talents with the community.  And a big shout-out to our Tour Co-Chairs – Luna Sconty and Grant Peterson – for their tireless efforts and ongoing commitment to the Tour. Join us for the 17th annual 2024 Hopewell Tour Des Arts, an inspiring weekend dedicated to showcasing the local art community. The tour takes place rain or shine on Saturday, September 28 from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, September 29, from 11 am to 4 pm. Admission is free, though donations are encouraged to support the Tour.

This self-guided tour is more than just a stroll through some galleries. The two-day self-guided tour allows art lovers to choose their own route from venue to venue, and chat with the artists, and see them work in their own space.

In addition to individual studios, explore several group locations including Highland Design Farm, Hopewell Train Station Freight Shed, Ottoburger, and Calvary Baptist Church of Hopewell. Each of these creative hubs hosts several artists, providing visitors with the opportunity to enjoy a range of artistic works in a single stop.

The event is held over two days, rain or shine, giving visitors plenty of time to visit all the participating artists’ studios. All are welcome. The Tour is free of charge, but we urge you to make a donation, if you are able, to help cover the costs of the Tour.  There will be donation boxes at each of the group locations.  A recommended donation is $10 per person.  Each visitor that donates $10 will have their name entered into a raffle for one of two amazing sculptures donated by artist, Don Campbell.

Visit Tips: Enjoying Hopewell Tour des Arts to its Fullest

Plan Your Route: Once the map is available, peruse the artists listed and see who catches your eye. Plan your visit route based on your priorities.

Visit Every Location: If you want to see it all, plan for two days and visit in an orderly fashion. Print a map and check off where you’ve visited.

Time Management: Allow for at least 10-20 minutes at smaller stops and 30 minutes or more at group locations like Highland Design Farm, which houses multiple artists’ studios.

Dining Options: For a bite to eat, check out some of the local options in Hopewell Borough or nearby Pennington.

Weather Preparedness: Plan for the weather. If it rains, wear shoes appropriate for slippery surfaces. Many parking locations are on grassy fields or gravel driveways.

Be Curious: The artists are there proudly showing and selling their work, often in their own studios. Ask them questions about their process, inspiration, or tools! They’ll be happy to share with you.

Support Local Artists: Consider purchasing art for yourself or as gifts. This event is a perfect chance to support local artists and their work.
