“Art is the only way to run away without leaving home” – Twyla Tharp

Why not bring some imagination into your time at home and put some positive energy out into the world. The HV Arts Council will be bringing you a “Daily Dose of Art” – a coloring page or small art project to work on. This isn’t about making a masterpiece, it’s about having a little fun and exploring your creativity.

Today, let’s start with something we all know how to do — color!

Supplies:  Printed coloring sheet, colored markers or pencils.

Have you ever heard of a ‘mandala’?  A mandala (or circle) represents the origin of life. Its center gently directs us to the infinite space within. The mandalas remind us that behind our physical facades, we’re each our own perfect, beautiful pattern, exquisitely individual.

So find a quiet place, slow down, ease your mind and channel your inner child with this coloring sheet created by HV Arts Council member, Dana Weekly, of NineTomatoes.  Dana is creating more mandalas for us so stay tuned! For more about Dana, please see www.ninetomatoes.com.

If you want to stay in touch and share where your imagination has taken you, post your project photos on Instagram at #HVArtsDailyDose or email a photo to us at info@hvartscouncil.org.
