In the painting of the spire, I used sinuous playful lines wrapping in and out and around the four faces of the column. From certain viewpoints the smooth lines become broken.

About the Artist
My sculpture has included works in wood, metal and glass. While I was teaching at the Art Students League from 1961 to 1997 I was also painting both on the NYC streets and the rural landscape and exhibiting in numerous shows. All of these ventures focused on social systems as well as the mundane.
