Birds!

by Jameson Moore

Design Statement

Birds! I designed the post so that two sides of the post were alive and singing with local birds while the other two sides displayed the natural beauty of the ash wood. Just walk around town, or a local park, and you will hear the diversity of birds we are lucky to have in the area. I have always loved the chorus of birds that have accompanied me on my walks.

About the Artist

About the Artist

Jameson Moore is a local educator, printmaker, and musician. He uses printmaking and painting to define and describe the world around him based on the relationships he has with the objects, landscapes, and interactions. Wood engraving is a way for him to study the design features of previous generations’ engravers through the lens of the present time. His linoleum cuts use light and line to address his surroundings. Finally, his acrylic and oil paintings are a vehicle to study the physical landscapes around him along with the energy and emotions connected to those landscapes.

“The juxtaposition of the busy flock of birds with the natural wood make for a harmonious design.”
