Four Birches

by Tracy Patterson

Design Statement

Inspired by the ArtSpire’s outdoor location and native material, I decided to portray the four seasons –one for each side of the spire–and its effect on an element of nature. I chose the birch tree for its tall, thin structure and simple graphic aesthetic.

Materials:  Latex paint

Dimensions: 5″ x 5″ x 45″

Map/Spire Number: 38

Location: Woolsey Park

Address: 221 Washington Crossing Pennington Road, Titusville NJ
