Hopewell Valley “Come Outside and Play!” Cardboard Horse Craft
June 8, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Free
Back by popular demand! On Saturday, June 8 from 10am-12pm, join us for Hopewell “Come Outside and Play” at Hopewell Train Station to decorate wearable cardboard horses.
Hopewell Valley Arts Council participated in the community-wide event, NEA Big Read which was piloted by The Pennington Library in March. The featured book, True Grit, an American classic, tells about the grit of a 14-year-old farm girl living in the 1870’s American west who hires a lawman to avenge her father. In true western style, community and arts council members created their own cardboard horses. We had so much fun designing these wearable horses that we’d like to give more families the opportunity to make their own.
Corral your family or friends and join us at the Hopewell Train Station. This art activity is geared towards team participation with 5-11 year olds and adults. One horse per team. Rain or Shine.
